Portions of southwest and west central Virginia, including the following counties, in southwest Virginia, Craig. In west central Virginia, Alleghany VA and Botetourt. * WHEN... Until 700 PM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 400 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Carvin Creek, Barbours Creek, Beckner Branch, Allen Creek, Broad Run, Blue Spring Run, Catawba Creek and Bens Run. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... New Castle... Oriskany... Eagle Rock... Fincastle... Gala... Glen Wilton...
