At 638 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms near Accident, or 9 miles northwest of Bittinger, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, frequent lightning, and locally heavy rainfall.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Bittinger, Grantsville, Friendsville, Accident, Franklin, Luke, Merrill, Jennings, Keysers Ridge, Mineral Spring, Deep Creek Lake State Park, Swallow Falls State Park, McHenry, Selbysport, Big Run State Park, New Germany, Piney Grove, McComas Beach, and Warnocks.
This includes Interstate 68 in Maryland between mile markers 1 and 31.
