Portions of north central North Carolina and northwest North Carolina, including the following counties, in north central North Carolina, Surry. In northwest North Carolina, Wilkes.

* WHEN...
Until 1015 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 610 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Cooks Creek, Brushy Fork, Camp Branch, Camp Creek, Christian Creek, Elkin Creek, East Prong Roaring River, Chestnut Creek, Beaverdam Creek, Big Bugaboo Creek and Cody Creek.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
