Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...
Portions of Virginia, including the following counties and independent cities, Bland, City of Radford, City of Roanoke, City of Salem, Craig, Giles, Montgomery, Pulaski, Roanoke, Smyth, Tazewell and Wythe and southeast West Virginia, including the following counties, Mercer, Monroe and Summers.

* WHEN...
Until 515 PM EST.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Overflowing poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 112 PM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Back Creek, Altoona Branch and Adair Run.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
