Flash Flood Warning issued July 22 at 2:58PM EDT until July 22 at 8:15PM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA
At 258 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms that produced between 2 and 2.5 inches of rain within a hour earlier this afternoon have moved out of the warned area, leaving only light to occasionally moderate rain. However, flash flooding remains a threat as runoff from this rainfall continues to collect in local creeks and streams, and may push a few of them out of their banks and across nearby roadways.
