Portions of southwest and west central Virginia, including the following counties and independent city, in southwest Virginia, City of Radford, Floyd, Montgomery and Pulaski. In west central Virginia, Roanoke. * WHEN... Until 915 PM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 606 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Brush Creek, Flatwoods Branch, Elliott Creek, Bonys Run, Lick Fork, Crab Creek, Georges Run, Eckels Branch, Calhoun Run, Connellys Run and Brake Branch. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Blacksburg...
