At 330 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Montgomery, or 14 miles northwest of Fayetteville, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Summersville, Montgomery, Ansted, Smithers, Gauley Bridge, Pratt, Hawks Nest State Park, Powellton, Handley, Bickmore, Swiss, Indore, Bentree, Kesslers Cross Lanes, Drennan, and Pond Gap.
This includes the following highways...
West Virginia Turnpike near mile marker 74.
Route 19 between mile markers 25 and 36, and between mile markers 39 and 40.
