The National Weather Service in Blacksburg has issued a Red Flag Warning for gusty winds and low relative humidities, which is in effect from 11 AM this morning to 6 PM EST this evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

Central, western, and southwest Virginia, and north central North Carolina * TIMING...From late morning into the early evening.

* WINDS...
Northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...
As low as 20 percent.

Up to 69.

* LIGHTNING...
None.

Gusty winds, dry fuels, and low relative humidity values will be favorable for rapid fire growth.
