Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

Portions of north central North Carolina, including the following counties, Rockingham and Stokes and Virginia, including the following counties, Henry, Patrick and Pittsylvania.

* WHEN...
Until 615 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 314 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Buckhorn Branch, Dan River, Buffalo Creek, Big Beaver Island Creek, Childress Creek, Cascade Creek and Crooked Creek.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
