Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...
A large portion of Randolph County in central North Carolina.

* WHEN...
Until 130 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1025 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to showers and thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
- Radar estimates indicate 1.5 to 2 inches of rain have fallen in the past hour over southwestern Randolph County, near New Hope and Martha. The showers and thunderstorms that produced this heavy rain are expected to move northeastward across much of central and northern Randolph County, including over Asheboro and Randleman, through midnight.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Asheboro, Randleman, North Carolina Zoo, Seagrove, Liberty, Ramseur, Franklinville, Staley, Ulah, Randleman Regional Reservior Marina, Coleridge and Martha.
