Heavy mixed precipitation. Additional snow and sleet accumulations up to one half inch. Ice accumulations of one quarter to one half inch.

The southern through northeast Piedmont, western Sandhills, and northern Coastal Plain of North Carolina.

* WHEN...
Until 1 PM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...
Significant ice accumulation on power lines and tree limbs may cause widespread and long-lasting power outages. Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice. Travel could be nearly impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
Temperatures will rise above freezing over all but the far northeast Piedmont and northern Coastal Plain tonight, leading to melting and improving travel conditions.
