Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...
A portion of eastern North Carolina, including the following counties, Carteret, Craven, Duplin, Greene, Jones, Lenoir, Onslow and Pitt.

* WHEN...
Until 1100 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 853 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 4 and 7 inches of rain have fallen over the past 24 hours.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Greenville, Jacksonville, New Bern, Kinston, Morehead City, North Topsail Beach, Ayden, Half Moon, Pumpkin Center, Piney Green, New River Station, Camp Lejeune Center, River Bend, Stella, Swansboro, Grifton, Phillips Crossroads, Hubert, Cape Carteret and Richlands.
