Flash Flood Warning issued July 15 at 6:30PM EDT until July 15 at 8:45PM EDT by NWS Raleigh NC
At 630 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain and flooding across the warned area, particularly in Burlington. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. The heavier rainfall rates are starting to shift south and west of the warning area. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
