At 418 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles northeast of Sturdivants to 6 miles northwest of Raeford. Movement was northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Albemarle, Southern Pines, Rockingham, Wadesboro, Troy, Carthage, Badin Lake, Pinehurst, Hamlet and Aberdeen.
