Canceled 2/1/25 6:30 AM Flood Warning issued February 1 at 2:29AM EST until February 1 at 8:15AM EST by NWS Blacksburg VA ...Flood Warning In Effect for Parts of Northeastern Greenbrier County... * WHAT... Small stream flooding caused by rain and snowmelt is ongoing and expected to continue through the morning hours. * WHERE... Portions of Northeast Greenbrier County. * WHEN... Until 815 AM EST. * IMPACTS... Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. This includes Anthong Creek, other tributaries in the region, and potentially some portions of the Greenbrier River in this area. Highway 92 near Alvon and Neola could be impacted. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 216 AM EST, Flooding is occurring along Anthony Creek. The current stage of Anthony Creek near Anthony Creek Road is 14.2 ft. Flood stage is 14.0 feet. At this level Anthony Road begins to experience flooding at the bridge near the gage. Significant flooding of the Blue Bend Recreation area can be expected and this area should be evacuated. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Spring Creek, Big Run, Greenbrier River, Anthony Creek, Boggs Run and Rocky Run. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
