At 103 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Leasburg, or 9 miles north of Prospect Hill. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary and there was a second storm to the northeast near Concord.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Roxboro, Concord, Hyco Lake, Mayo Reservoir, Hyco Marina, and Bushy Fork.
