A few locations generally along and southeast of a line from Union, South Carolina to Mint Hill, North Carolina will see patchy dense fog early this morning. Visibility may be as low as one quarter mile at times. Drive with extra caution on area roadways, and be prepared for a sudden loss of visibility. Slow down, use low-beam headlights, and leave extra space between vehicles. The fog is expected to dissipate as cooler and drier air moves in from the northwest by daybreak.
