At 1042 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 5 miles north of Newland to 7 miles southwest of Lenoir to 9 miles southwest of Statesville to 10 miles southeast of Chester. Movement was northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Gastonia, Rock Hill, Uptown Charlotte, Huntersville, Kannapolis, Hickory, Downtown Concord, Statesville, Lenoir, and Newton.
