At 949 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles northeast of Marshall to 14 miles southeast of Burnsville to 8 miles south of Marion. Movement was north at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Marion, Spruce Pine, Burnsville, Morganton, Mars Hill, Glen Alpine, Old Fort, Bakersville, B.R. Parkway-Craggy To Little Switzerland, and Lake James State Park.
