Central Mecklenburg County in the piedmont of North Carolina...

* Until 245 AM EDT.

* At 103 AM EDT, Between 3 and 4 inches of rain have fallen across north Charlotte with additional showers lingering over the warned area. Mallard Creek at Pavilion Boulevard also remains above flood stage. The expected rainfall rate with the ongoing showers is 0.5 to 1 inch in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. As rates subside, flood waters will gradually reside over the next hour or two.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
