At 637 AM EST, Doppler radar was tracking gusty showers along a line extending from 7 miles west of Johnson City to 8 miles west of Murphy. A few thunderstorms were embedded with this this line. Movement was east at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Franklin, Sylva, Waynesville, Burnsville, Bryson City, Marshall, Robbinsville, Newland, Cherokee, and Woodfin.
