* WHAT...
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...
A portion of northwest North Carolina, including the following counties, Ashe and Watauga.

* WHEN...
Until 745 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 608 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
Between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Elk Creek, Grassy Creek, Meat Camp Creek, Norris Fork, Craborchard Creek, South Fork Laurel Creek, Laurel Creek, Cove Creek, Laurel Fork, Left Prong Stony Fork, Brushy Fork, Little Dugger Creek, Dutch Creek, Flat Branch and Dugger Creek.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
