Elevations above 3500 feet in Madison, Mitchell, and Yancey Counties.

Until noon EST today.

* IMPACTS...
The snowfall will create slippery and snow covered roadways. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning commute. Strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines.
