At 951 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 10 miles northwest of Clendenin to near Coal Fork. Movement was east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Charleston, Sissonville, Marmet, Belle, Clendenin, Pinch, Glen, Coal Fork, Elkview, Amma, Harmony, Tariff, Procious, Indore, Kentuck, Walton, Bentree, Left Hand, Looneyville, and Pond Gap.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 79 between mile markers 1 and 32.
Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 96 and 99, between mile markers 102 and 105, between mile markers 107 and 108, and between mile markers 116 and 122.
West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 90 and 95.
