Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

A portion of southern West Virginia, including the following county, Kanawha.

* WHEN...
Until 1000 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 742 AM EDT, emergency management reported and automated gauges indicated heavy rain in the warned area. Flooding is already occurring. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. High water was running down the hillside and flowing across Elk River Road from Mink Shoals to Clendenin, up to six inches deep in spots. There was also high water at the intersection of Sissonville and Chandler drives, and at the intersection of Kanawha Turnpike and Rock Lake Drive. High water elsewhere in Kanawha County was receding.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area.

Charleston, Jefferson, South Charleston, St. Albans, Dunbar, Clendenin, Pinch, Coal Fork, Elkview and Institute.
