Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...
A portion of western North Carolina, including the following counties, Buncombe and Henderson.

* WHEN...
Until 900 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 653 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms in the area between Asheville and Hendersonville, near the Asheville Regional Airport, Arden, and Skyland. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Arden, Mills River, Fletcher, Fairview In Buncombe County, Biltmore Forest, Bent Creek, Asheville Airport, Biltmore Park, Skyland, and Avery Creek.
