Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

Southeastern Iredell County in the piedmont of North Carolina...
Eastern Lincoln County in the piedmont of North Carolina...
Northwestern Mecklenburg County in the piedmont of North Carolina...

* WHEN...
Until 730 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 538 PM EDT, gauge reports indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected over the next hour. However, additional thunderstorms with heavy rain are possible this evening. Any additional rain could result in a quick return of flooding across the warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Huntersville, Cornelius, Mooresville, Davidson, Westport, Lake Norman, Ramsey Creek Park, Denver, Iron Station, Boger City, Lowesville and Doolie.
