Flash Flood Warning issued June 12 at 8:58PM EDT until June 12 at 11:30PM EDT by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC
At 858 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Widespread flash flooding will continue to seen throughout Charlotte this evening, including but not limited to the Irvin, Stewart, Little Sugar, Briar, McMullen and McAlpine Creek basins. Several water rescues are in progress! HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.
