For the Wind Advisory below 3500 feet, south winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected. For the High Wind Warning above 3500 feet, south winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 70 mph.

Buncombe, Graham, Haywood, Macon, Madison, Northern Jackson, Southern Jackson, Swain, Transylvania, and Yancey Counties.

* WHEN...
For the first Wind Advisory and second Wind Advisory, until 7 PM EST this evening. For the High Wind Warning, until 1 PM EST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...
Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
