Snow expected above 3500 feet. Total snow accumulations mainly of 2 to 4 inches, with isolated ridges seeing up to 6 inches.

Madison, Mitchell, and Yancey Counties.

* WHEN...
Until noon EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...
The heavy snow will create snow covered roads and produce scattered power outages. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes. Strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines.
