Flooding caused by excessive runoff is continuing. * WHERE... A portion of piedmont North Carolina, including the following county, Mecklenburg. * WHEN... Until 130 AM EDT. * IMPACTS... Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1119 PM EDT, High water conditions will continue to work downstream through Center City, Southeast and South Charlotte into the overnight hours. Flooding was lingering in parts of the Steele, Sugar, Little Sugar, Briar and McMullen basins. Stream levels in the headwaters of these basins had crested and were falling, but were still rising in the lower reaches. Remain wary of ongoing flooding and the threat of renewed flooding overnight, and continue to heed any road closures! - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
